Rocky Mountains National Park, Colorado

After leaving Grand Teton National Park, we drove 500 miles to Boulder Colorado where R’s sister lives. We spent a week with her family and they took us to Rocky Mountains National Park on the last day of our visit.

It’s already July but we encountered a hail storm in the park. We drove through hail, heavy rain, strong wind and lightening but it was all fun! We had a great opportunity to see a herd of Elk on a hill and a couple of huge male elk chilling on the grass. We were lucky to see wildlife so close!!

We have driven about 2,500 miles so far and taking I-70 to the east coast. Our Subaru Impreza has been performing well!
